Gene is a Partner in our Canadian Tax Group with nearly two decades of experience delivering comprehensive taxation and advisory services. Since beginning his career in 2006, Gene has worked extensively with private companies, individuals, partnerships, and not-for-profit organizations. His expertise spans Canadian income taxation for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and corporations, with a particular focus on tax planning, compliance, and business succession strategies.

Gene’s industry experience includes real estate, construction, technology, manufacturing, and distribution. His ability to navigate complex tax matters is supported by a strong academic foundation—a B.A. in Economics (Honours) and a Diploma in Accounting from the University of British Columbia—and his Chartered Accountant designation, earned in 2009. Having worked with both Big Four and national accounting firms, Gene brings a broad and practical perspective to serving his clients.

Outside of the office, Gene can be found volunteering at his local church or exploring the mountains and golf courses with his wife and three children.
