Mark’s areas of expertise include U.S. tax rules that impact business owners or incorporated professionals in Canada, business structures that maximize tax benefits for entertainers and athletes, ownership methods for holding U.S. real estate, U.S. estate and gift tax and U.S. expatriation rules and their impact on taxpayers renouncing U.S. citizenship. Mark also has extensive experience advising employers and employees on the issues associated with cross border employment activity, including tax, payroll, and compensation matters.
